The other day a consumer wrote to us saying the plastic bags we pack our washed, cut greens in are too thin.
So we thought you’d like to know a bit about the bag material we use.
The bags we use are made of special, breathable material that is designed to allow produce gases to escape. All produce emits gas, and letting the gas out of the bags keeps the greens fresh longer. The bag material may be thin, but it's not cheap!
The way we use them is we cut straight across the top of the bag with kitchen scissors, and when we've poured out the amount of greens we want to use, we close the bag with a wire tie that we’ve recycled from a previous purchase.
Hope that helps!
