“We are excited to grow this grassroots effort, raising awareness around one of the vegetable heros leading us to a healthier America, kale” Brian Cook, San Miguel Produce Director of Sales and Marketing said. “We are very thankful for our wonderful retail partners, Food 4 Less, fresh&easy and Safeway, who are helping expand our reach and have been very supportive of our family farm’s products for many years.”
“The key to promote eating healthier is to start the education process at a young age” Garrett Nishimori, San Miguel Produce Marketing Manager and Corporate Chef noted. “I have had the rewarding opportunity to work hand in hand with great nutrition educations, teachers, foodservice directors and of course the kids at our local schools.” San Miguel Produce is proud to announce that schools from the Ventura County Farm to School Collaborative will also be participating in the celebration.
