A blend of organic collard and organic kale varieties, the two most nutrient dense leafy greens from the same family all in one package. Hearty greens has exciting texture contrast with collard greens’ broad flat leaves and kale’s curly ruffled leaves, while both greens share a similar taste with a broccoli-like flavor.

History & Fun Facts

Both kale and collards share the distinction of being among the most nutrient-dense greens in the world.  They are similar in many respects, except in the formation of their leaves.  In effect, they are primitive cabbages that have been retained through thousands of years.  In fact, none of the several principal forms of kale and collards that we know today are new…all have been known for at least two thousand years!

Researchers at the University of California at Berkeley recently discovered that Brassica vegetables, like collard and kale, are strong helpers to the body’s immune response system with potent antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer properties.
