Traditional Spicy Mustard Greens |

Garlic, hot pepper and lemon juice make mustard greens simply delicious
3 cups water
1 (1-pound) bag Cut `n Clean Mustard Greens
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh garlic
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Bring water to a boil, add mustard greens, cover the pan and boil gently until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain the greens and discard the water.
Melt butter in a large skillet, add onions, garlic and red pepper flakes and saute 3-5 minutes, until onion is tender. Add cooked greens, lemon juice, pepper and salt. Stir to blend all ingredients and continue cooking until heated through. Serve at once as a vegetable side dish.
Serves 4.
