Side Dish |
Sweet, spicy broth cooks down into pot likker along with Country Greens
4 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup chopped smoked turkey (or other meat of your choice)
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup yellow onion, diced
2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
1/2 of a jalapeño pepper
1 (1-pound) bag Cut `n Clean Greens Country Greens
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
2 tablespoons honey
Salt and pepper to taste

In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic and jalapeno for 3 to 4 minutes until tender and fragrant. Add this to the broth; this is the start of the pot likker.
Continue cooking pot likker and submerge half of the Cut `n Clean Greens Country Greens into the pot until the greens cook down, then add the remainder of the greens. Stir in onion powder and honey and let cook until desired greens tenderness is reached. Adjust seasonings to taste. Garnish with a slice of tomato and green onion.
