Sweet and Spicy Country Greens

Serves: 4

1 (1 pound) bag Cut 'N Clean Greens Country Greens
4 cups water
1/2 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup chopped smoked turkey (or other meat of your choice)
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup yellow onion, diced
2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
1/2 of a jalapeño pepper
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish: tomato slices, chopped green onion

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in medium-size pot. Add seasoned salt, vinegar and turkey and cook, covered, for 15 minutes.

In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic and jalapeno for 3 to 4 minutes until tender and fragrant. Add this to the broth; this is the start of the pot likker.

Continue cooking pot likker and submerge half of the Cut 'N Clean Greens Country Mix into the pot until the greens cook down, then add the remainder of the greens. Stir in onion powder and honey and let cook until desired greens tenderness is reached. Adjust seasonings to taste. Garnish with a slice of tomato and green onion. Serve at once with cornbread or as a side dish to accompany a main course.
